I’m just a fat old man from Texas, blessed by God with much and daring to dream of much more to come.

I rooted around and found an old resume. It’s 10 years old and I’ve moved on, but it gives a listing of the things I’ve done in my life from (mostly) a technical standpoint. It’s filled with geeky stuff and I wouldn’t recommend anyone try to read it.

Instead I’ll give you a brief summary with a lot of things left out:

Graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I graduated summa cum barely and thank you laudy, but it was considered the hardest degree to get at that school at that time, so I’m plenty proud of getting it done.

Moved to Dallas. Worked in professional audio. Fixed electronic keyboards and other audio gear, ran sound, moved pianos, etc. Lots of bands. Some famous bands. Lots of fun.

Moved to California. Worked with the Department of Defense regarding cruise missiles. Rode around some on a Navy test ship. Lots of secrets. Some fun.

Moved Back to Texas. Programmed computers for oil & gas, or as they like to call it, the energy sector. Lots of operating systems. Lots of computer languages. Lots of databases. Early exposure to internet programming and linux.
