Limiting God

Beware in your prayers, above everything else, of limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what He can do. Expect unexpected things, above all that we ask or think  — Andrew Murray

We picked strawberries today, over 10lbs. Of course we had strawberry shortcake tonight. That is nothing if not special.

Man does not live by a turkey in every oven or a color TV set in every home. Man lives by faith and hope and love, by the star on the horizon, by the trumpet that will not call retreat.

Welcome to my blog. It has no high place. It serves no grand purpose. I’d like to think it may give rise to some intelligent discourse and perhaps occasionally touch the heart.

Here I may voice my opinions on a large manner of subjects. If you disagree with me I’d like to hear from you. I’m not always right, but I am always up for hearing other opinions. You may even convince me to change my mind.

If you are among family or friends you aren’t likely to find yourself mentioned directly in these pages. I respect your privacy too much for that. There are two exceptions, 1) I will mention my wonderful and talented wife at times, and 2) if you are rich and/or famous I may mention your name a lot. If you are rich and/or famous and you aren’t family you are still certainly my friend and I will still mention your name a lot.
